I Will Hassle With My Hair For as Long as I Live

Emily braves her new 'do.
In this episode you see me working — I have always been passionate about working and have loved having a job and making my own money. I have been working in media since I was 15, but before that, I was all about architecture. When I was little, I used to design homes, layout neighborhoods, and even named the streets. I read the Real Estate section every day and dragged my dad to open houses on the weekends. I am fascinated by design and décor. I am a homebody at heart, and I love cozy homes!
My job at 702.tv is my dream job. It is a place where can finally be myself, both personally and professionally. I am working with an amazingly talented staff, extremely dedicated individuals, all under the leadership of a great visionary, Rob Curley. I really feel like we are paving the way for the future of media, and I can’t think of a better spot to be in.I went on one blind date when Kellie asked me to…It was weird and awkward! I didn’t hit it off with the guy. I prefer to meet people on my own terms.
I think I will also hassle with my hair for as long as I live. Why not? As a female, it is one of your best and most important accessories anyway. It took me awhile to get used to the cut and figure out how to style it short, but I like it, and I feel good about it. Those extensions I had in were terrible anyway! It is so funny because when watching myself, I am like OMG those extensions are hideous! But at the time I actually thought it looked good. Oh well, you live and you learn. Fashion and beauty is all about evolvement anyway.

Look up Dorothy Fuldheim on the Web. She was an extraordinary journalist and a role model of mine. And she didn’t flash her ta-tas relentlessly or strut around like a showgirl or stripper.
Emily needs to get a grip on real reality. Her appearances on the show thus far, lead me to believe she is super-duper shallow. She thinks she is so “wild.” She comes across like a self involved, stupid girl obsessed with her hair. How sophomoric!
Has she attended college? If not I suggest she do so. She connects her vitality and self worth to her looks– maybe she should focus on having a great education that her family can obviously afford. An education would make her a better commodity as a reporter, not a terrific haircut.:)

ive been thinking about getting my hair cut short and i like yours. how would i describe it to my hair stylist? do you have a pic you could up so i can see it good?? thanks
Wow! What’s with the mean comments? Emily seems like a sweet girl and she has absolutely the right look for entertainment television. I think it’s unfortunate when women attack other women for looking a certain way.
I couldn’t agree more Salome! My gosh! Emily I love your hair! As a fellow Louisvillian I can tell ya us Southern Girls are confident and proud of what our Mama’s gave us!
I love your new short haircut and got mine cut similar to yours, but like you, I’m having trouble learning how to style it to where it sweeps forward, but when I brush it, it feathers back!!! PLEASE HELP with your styling suggestions.
