I Don’t Want to Look Back with Regrets

The choice to leave Louisville for Vegas — it wasn’t difficult at all! I love my family and friends in Kentucky, but that is what airplanes are for! This job with 702.tv is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I am HONORED to be chosen to be part of the team. I don’t want to look back with any regrets in life… it is too short! My dad and I still email daily, and I talk to my mom all the time too.
Nancy O’Dell was a sweetheart! You could definitely tell she was a true Southern Belle. I thought it was funny that our outfits coordinated — I guess great minds think alike! Haha. Her dad was on set visiting her and that warmed my heart, because I am close to my dad as well. I love my family and feel so lucky to have such support in my life. I wish Nancy had given me a few more on-camera beauty secrets (I know she has some!), but I feel like she was holding out on me a little bit! Oh well, I guess that is why they call them secrets.
Russ is not a bad boy at all. He is just a cheeseball. (Sorry, Russ! Haha!) Once I spent more time with him, I got to know the real him. Here is what I think: Russ is very social and takes a lot of pride in Louisville. He works hard, and loves his city and it shows. He legitimately cares about Hadley and that makes me happy. I think he would do anything in the world for her. They have a great friendship, and I don’t think any split second decision needs to be made. They can figure it out for themselves in due time.

Emily, I know how you feel. I recently acquired my Masters degree and am deciding where to move to after I have lived in my hometown for 45 years! All i can say is do you and be HAPPY!!! You only have one life..and it’s YOUR LIFE no one elses!! I love your new hair! I have one suggestion. Since you bleach it, it looks very dry. You should try Chaz Dean natural hair products. It will change your hair for the better!!. Oh by the way Jeremy is super, super hot!!!! You two look great together!!
Hugs, Shawna
It takes a lot of guts to go after what you want, especially when people you love and care about don’t agree with your choices. I know your family and mentors care about you and that is where their advice and opinions come from, but I’m very proud to see that you are going for what you want. That’s how you will come to find yourself and be more comfortable with who you are.
I was so glad to see things improving for you with your new job. You’re doing awesome. Keep up all your hard work.
Emily, Fear not! You’re not the only one raised in a Conservative Christian home. But mine was worse ’cause MY Dad was the Preacher! ARGH! All those years of “you have to set a good example”…OMG, what a nightmare. But it looks like, even with their fears & misgivings they support you in following your passion. THAT is worth it’s weight in gold! I didn’t get that from my Dad. So please try & see his concern as a blessing! 8-D
One suggestion: I hope your employers provide a bodyguard when you’re out there reporting on the L.V. Social scene. It just takes one drunk “admirer” to follow you to your car & corner you. You’re a beautiful petite young woman & I do worry for your physical safety (sorry, I’m the Mom of a 30 yr old son, but I worry about drinking & driving, trying stuff (drugs) out there ’cause everybody does it & it’s no big deal’. Try to be super aware of your surroundings, don’t walk to your car alone. & keep the Lord on speed-dial & NEVER compromise your values! The Lord & His angels watch over us, but we’re also expected to use the good sense God gave us.
you’ll be fine! God Bless! Find me on Twitter! *Hugs* Musicchick2 aka Denise in Seattle.
